Nexo acquires Texture Capital to become SEC Compliant | Offers Institutional Investors Banking in Cryptocurrency Digital Assets Market

1 min read

An industry leader in digital assets, Nexo has acquired a stake in Texture Capital Holdings Corp., parent company of Texture Capital, a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member and SEC-registered broker-dealer. The investment is part of Texture Capital’s seed funding round.

Expanding Nexo’s service offerings to institutional investors

Nexo’s acquisition is part of a global strategy to extend its offerings to institutional investors through a wide variety of partnerships that specialize in advanced digital asset investment banking services. Licensure and ATS (Texture Capital’s Alternative Trading System) are some examples of this.

Texture gains potential to improve offerings via DeFi capabilities

Texture Capital will be able to enhance its DeFi capabilities while leveraging Nexo’s premier product suite. This is made possible through Nexo’s extensive blockchain expertise and turnkey solutions for managing crypto assets.

Texture’s marketplace enhances private capital liquidity

Despite being founded only two years ago, Texture Capital offers a blockchain-enabled and regulated marketplace that caters to institutional and accredited investors while enhancing private capital liquidity. They are one of few brokers licensed to issue and trade of Digital Asset Securities. Moreover, they are registered in each US state as well as several US territories.

Tatiana Metodieva, CFA, Head of Corporate Finance and Investments at Nexo, said:

Nexo invests actively across geographies and segments to expand its strategic presence, technological solutions framework, and regulatory readiness in the digital asset ecosystem. Texture’s growth strategy, service orientation, and compliance foresight align well with Nexo’s vision for the US market. We expect this partnership to further strengthen Nexo’s commitment to state-of-the-art execution and service to its community.

After a number of successful ventures, this milestone in the history of Nexo’s investment arm makes it possible for Texture to offer its exchange products, interest-bearing accounts, and professional-orientated trading services to a wider range of US clients.

Richard Johnson, CEO and Founder of Texture Capital, said:

We are delighted to welcome Nexo as an investor in our seed round. Nexo has built an impressive, global crypto business, and we look forward to partnering with them as Texture continues to build on our vision to revolutionize capital markets leveraging blockchain technology and DeFi.
